In late October 2025, an unseasonal blanket of snow fell across Wānaka, New Zealand. I raced out to the Matukituki Valley to capture the fresh conditions. Despite storm-damaged trails and fallen beech trees, I pushed ahead. In a quiet gully, I discovered a magical creek cutting through scattered boulders, with the magnificent Rob Roy Glacier standing proudly in the distance, catching the final rays of evening light. This piece marks my first collaboration with WAI Wānaka, created to raise vital funds and awareness for their essential environmental work.
